The Bond of Union

of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hidalgo County

Despite differing opinions concerning many matters, we are as one in our steadfast devotion to these historic principles of liberal religion:

1.  Complete mental freedom rather than bondage to creeds or confessions.

2.  The unrestricted use of reason rather than the reliance upon external authority or past tradition.

3.  Generous tolerance of differing religious views and usages rather than insistence upon uniformity in doctrine or usage.

We join hands knowing that in union there is strength, and that by working together for the progressive transformation of individual and social life, we shall find peace of mind and spirit and be better enabled to serve humanity.
